These legal documents address different points of organizations’ functioning, among which one of the most challenging is inducing employees to be more environmentally friendly. While the issue of pro-environmental behaviors have received much attention from the scientific community, empirical studies of employees’ motivations to get involved in such greening activities remain relatively scarce. This research will analyze the determinants of sustainable development in the behavior of employees working in public organizations. More specifically, this process will consist of two stages: 1) identification of greening activities as well as exploring their features and scope, and 2) exploring how behaviors of workers can be changed in order to include these pro-environmental practices. Conducting this project will help to understand how sustainable development can be integrated by employees of public institutions, and will facilitate the establishment of successful greening initiatives within these organizations.
