Prof. Gottlieb is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics. His research interests lie in the field of development economics and macroeconomics. His research largely builds on data from countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. As part of his research, he conducted fieldwork in Uganda and Ethiopia to study land tenure arrangements and was a visiting scholar at Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC) Makerere University.
