In-house training for companies by the Institute of Business Ethics

In this context, Dr. Florian Krause conducted several training courses, some of which were digital, in 2022 and 2023 on ESG, the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and the significance of the EU taxonomy for sustainable activities, which is also new, for companies in Switzerland. In this topic area, it is particularly important that the term sustainability is defined more precisely in the future and, for example, also refers to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. This also involves a reform of the reporting system: In the future, certain sustainability disclosures will be mentioned in the management report of the financial report and will thus also be subject to scrutiny by auditors. Existing and new frameworks in the area of sustainability are thus to gain in importance and the comparability of companies in the area of sustainability is to be increased.
