Dr. Dalia Palombo

Dr. Dalia Palombo is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Business Ethics.

Dalia Palombo is also a fellow at the London School of Economics Department of Law. Previously, she was a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law (2014-2017), a visiting research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg (2015), a visiting research fellow and member of the project Globaltrust at Tel Aviv University (2014), and a trainee at the Court of Justice of the European Union (2013). She graduated in law from the Universitá degli Studi di Milano in 2011, obtained an LL.M. at Harvard Law School in 2012, and a Ph.D. in Law at Maastricht University in 2017. During her studies, she spent a term at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law as an exchange student and a period of research at the European Court of Human Rights. She is licensed as an attorney in New York.

Her primary areas of research are business and human rights, international law, human rights and corporate law. At the Business Ethics Institute, she works on a research project comparing the liability regimes applicable to multinational corporations when they abuse human rights and antitrust law.

Since 2013 she has been teaching and lecturing a number of courses at the London School of Economics covering the areas of human rights, international law and corporate law. Since 2013, she has also been lecturing the class Corporate Social Responsibility - Business and Human Rights at Luiss Guido Carli University, School of Law, Rome. In 2018, she lectured the course Human Rights in Europe at SciencesPo Campus Nancy, France. From September 2019, she will co-lecture the course “Business and Human Rights: Legal, Managerial and Ethical Perspectives” at the University of St. Gallen.
