Daniel Villiger Daniel Villiger is a Research Assistant at the Institute for Business Ethics. Daniel Villiger has worked at the Chair of Prof. Dr. Martin Kolmar since September 2016, With Martin Kolmar and his team, he moved to the Institue for Business Ethics (IWE-HSG) in April 2017. At the same time, he is studying at the PhD-level at the University of St.Gallen in the programme Organization Studies and Cultural Theory (DOK). From 2011 to 2014, Daniel Villiger studied economics at the University of St. Gallen and finished with a degree in Bachelor of Arts. His bachelor thesis focused on multiple social identities and cooperative behaviour. From 2015 to 2016, he completed his Master of Arts in International Affairs and Governance. In his master thesis, he examined whether loving-kindness-meditation is able to change altruistic behaviour. In his doctoral thesis, Daniel Villiger investigates different aspects of intergroup behaviour. By doing so, he analyses how our the tendency to favour the status quo and the intergroup bias lead to discrimination.
