About the Competence Center for African Research The Competence Center for African Research (CCAR) strives to build a unique research profile on issues at the intersection of business, ethics, and governance relating to the African continent. The aim of the CCAR is supporting, facilitating and coordinating research and teaching with a focus on Africa at University of St.Gallen. The CCAR is offically launched on January 14-15, 2020 with a scientific symposium - CCAR-HSG symposium - at the Kantonsratssaal, St. Gallen. CCAR operates in close institutional collaboration with the Ethics and Public Policy Laboratory (EthicsLab) in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The partnership between the two centers aims at developing opportunities for collaborative research and teaching between University of St.Gallen and the Catholic University of Central Africa in Cameroon.
